Working as Assistant Orchestra Manager, Maddi Hoth is a first-year graduate student at Florida State pursuing a M.A. in Arts Administration. She graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she received a B.M. in Music Education and studied oboe with Dr. Rebecca Nagel. While at South Carolina, she played oboe in the concert ensembles and played saxophone in both the athletic bands and jazz bands. Being an avid lover of marching band, Maddi has worked as a senior staff member with the Carolina Band, served as the director of Carolina’s auxiliary pep band - Carolina Sound, and is a life member of Kappa Kappa Psi – National Honorary Band Fraternity. She also worked as a marching band tech at DeKalb High School in her hometown of DeKalb, IL. When not involved in music, Maddi loves to golf, listen to podcasts, and hangout with her cat Rizzo.
Maddi was excited to accept the internship position with the Sound Impact team because of her backgrounds in both music education and arts administration. By working alongside Tiffany and Danielle she hopes to learn about nonprofit management and organizational development. She is grateful to have this experience to combine her love of music education with her arts administration education.
