Sound Impact had the opportunity to showcase its work as a part of Voices of Prince George’s County, a community engagement program stemming from a partnership between The Clarice, University of Maryland School of Music, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Teens from the Hyattsville Library shared spoken word/community poem creations with a drum circle, and the School of Music’s graduate fellowship ensembles Terrapin Brass and the Varié Quartet presented interactive music programs for the audience.
