Anne Donaldson holds degrees in violin performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and Northwestern University. She has held full-time positions with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, as well as summertime positions with the Britt Festival, the Eastern Music Festival, and the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music. An active freelancer in Washington DC, Ms. Donaldson is a member of the Inscape Chamber Orchestra, and Sound Impact, an arts-education nonprofit with a mission for mentoring youth through music. She also performs with the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the National Philharmonic.

A specialist in the Suzuki Method, Anne maintains a private violin studio in Washington, DC, and is a frequent guest clinician at Suzuki Institutes and workshops across the United States. In her free time she enjoys hiking, improv comedy, and playing traditional Irish music.
